Myanmar Navy Commander-in-Chief of Admiral Nyan Tun visited Naval Headquarters here on Thursday and held a detailed discussion on professional matters with Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Asif Sandila in his office. Upon arrival at Naval Headquarters, the Commander-in-Chief of Myanmar Navy, accompanied by his personal staff, was received by Chief of the Naval Staff.
A smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Navy, clad in ceremonial dress, presented him the guard of honour. The visiting dignitary was then introduced to Principal Staff Officers (PSOs) at Naval Headquarters.
Later, Admiral Nyan Tun, called on Chief of the Naval Staff in his office, where he held detailed discussion on professional matters with him. A comprehensive brief on PN Role in Regional Maritime Security Situation and Operational developments was also given to the visiting dignitary. The Admiral, who is on official visit to Pakistan, will also call on Defence Minister, CJCSC, Chief of the Air Staff and Naval Admin Authorities at Lahore and Karachi during his visit. The Admiral Nyan Tun joined Myanmar Navy in 1974. Besides commanding the Myanmar Navy, he has had the privilege to hold a number of Command and Staff appointments including General Staff Officer Grade-I (Operations), Captain Naval Staff (Operation and Staff Duty) and Tanintharyi Naval Regional Command.
