CLOUD COMPUTING A technology to expand business with low investment and time lag
KARACHI - Cloud computing is an emerging and cutting-edge technology that has been efficiently adopted by local and multinational companies for expansion of their respective businesses with minimum investment and time space, said Engr Farrukh Nizami, at a seminar organised by the Computer Engineering Department of Sir Syed University.
According to a press statement issued here on Sunday, Engr Nizami said that cloud computing also offers IT professionals an opportunity to increase their strategic values to their businesses. Microsoft's Private Cloud Solutions help IT professionals become cloud innovators of their companies, delivering applications to the people who need to be productive across private, hybrid and public clouds, he maintained. Nizami pointed out that IT professionals can evolve their roles with cloud computing to help their business more competitive. "With the qualities of cost efficient and reliable, cloud can help save money, increase productivity and reduce management complexities." he was quoted to have said.
He explained in detail the virtualization concept and presented a preview of how Microsoft's private cloud becomes more powerful with Windows Server 8. He highlighted that how customers around the world are already using Window Azure Platform, which is available today for evaluation and purchase to create the private clouds. He launched the new track of Microsoft Cloud Certification of Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) and announced to give scholarship to the four lucky winners for doing MCSE certification course.
In the end Prof Dr Syed Misbahuddin, Chairman Computer Engineering Department, gave memento to Engr Farrukh Nizami, the keynote speaker. He appreciated that the presentation was prolific and equally effective for the students as well as for the faculty members for their growth and knowledge.

Why use only Microsoft products for establishing Private/public cloud solutions while there are other sources available like open source
Pro it. At least start. These options come in when you seek diversity, which is not the case now.
