Loss of lives in Siachen

The Siachen dispute has resulted in thousands of casualties from both sides, mainly because of adverse climate conditions and hard terrain. Over 8,000 soldiers from the two sides have been killed in Siachen so far. Pakistan spends Rs 15 million a day to maintain three battalions at the world’s highest battlefield. The recent avalanche at the battlefield buried alive at least 135 Pakistani soldiers.

I suggest that Pakistan and India should sign an accord and pull out their troops from this dangerous battlefield. Both the countries should respect their territories. Through an accord the two can save many a life.
