Man killed in Jaffarabad

Quetta - A man was killed and two others, including a police constable, were injured in separate incidents in different towns of Balochistan while a woman’s tortured body was found in Pishin.
Unidentified armed men fired at Shahzad Solangi in Usta Muhammad Chowk, Jaffarabad, critically injuring him. He was being shifted to Civil Hospital when he succumbed to his injuries. Motive behind the killing was yet to be ascertained.
In another incident in Usta Muhammad, a police constable was injured when armed men attacked a police post in Kanki area. The injured police constable was identified as Habibullah, who was rushed to nearby hospital in a critical condition.
Pishin Levies Force, on a tip-ff, recovered a woman’s body near Killi Manzari Cross and moved it to District Headquarter Hospital for autopsy. Hospital sources said that the victim was around 30-year-old and tortured to death. The body was later shifted to the hospital morgue for identification.
FC claims to have foiled terror bid: Frontier Corps Balochistan on Monday claimed to have foiled a terrorist attack in Quetta on eve of March 23 by seizing a large number of explosive material and arms.
According to FC officials, in light of information gathered, security personnel found 500 kilogrammes explosive material, seven detonators and six landmines from a vehicle but no arrests were made, as the driver and cleaner had fled before the security personnel searched the vehicle. Terrorists intended to use explosive material for a subversive act during functions being held on March 23.
Security forces also recovered weapons and hand grenades from a house in Nushki. Sources said that security forces raided a house and recovered a rocket launcher, four rounds, five SMG guns, 200 rounds and three hand grenades but no one was arrested.
