FC kills 7 militants, injures 9 after being attacked

QUETTA - At least seven attackers were killed and nine others were injured in a clash with security forces in Dera Bugti, a remote area of Balochistan, officials said on Tuesday.
According to a Frontier Constabulary (FC) spokesman, FC personnel were attacked by a band of unidentified gunmen in the Och area of Dera Bugti district in Balochistan. He said the troops killed seven militants in retaliation, and injured nine others. Later, a large number of FC personnel were called in after which the remaining attackers fled from the scene, the spokesman added. However, there was no word from him on causalities from his side. The FC also claimed to have seized a large quantity of heavy weapons and ammunition from the scene.
Five houses blown up: Unidentified men blew up five houses in Dahri Likpani in the Katlang Police precincts on Tuesday. Police and local residents said that unidentified men planted an explosive device at house of former Pakistan Air Force employee Ameer Rehman. Sources said that the explosive device went off at 1:15am and four other nearby houses, including the one of his brother Rwadad Khan and houses of Sodagar, Khanbaz, Lalbaz and Khan Firosh were also damaged but no casualties were reported.
