DUBAI - Pakistan beat England by eight runs in a thrilling finish to the first of three Twenty20 internationals at Dubai Stadium here on Thursday.
Pakistan, put into bat, scored 144-6 in their 20 overs with Shoaib Malik (39) and skipper Misbah-ul Haq (26) the main contributors.
Paceman Umar Gul then derailed England with a burst of 3-18 to keep England down to 136-6 in their 20 overs. Ravi Bopara made 39.

    the turning point was Gul’s over in which he had taken 2 back to back wickets, and then 2nd last over by Ajmal
