Sindh govt to unveil new power policy soon: Marri

KARACHI - Sindh Information Minister Shazia Marri has said that Sindh Government will soon announce a new power policy that is aimed at overcoming the current electricity shortfall.
Speaking at the 5th Power Generation Conference here on Friday, the minister said the Sindh government is working on a comprehensive power policy to end the prolonged energy crisis. Under the new policy, not only additional electricity will be generated, but also foreign investment will be boosted through projects of alternate sources of energy.
Speaking on this occasion, Sindh Investment Board Chairman Zubeir Motiwala said special concession will be offered on import of equipments needed for Thar Coal Project.
