BSF kills suspected smuggler close to Pakistani border

AMRITSAR - The Indian Border Security Force shot dead a Pakistani citizen in the border area between Tuesday and Wednesday night. The Indian BSF claimed that the man killed was a narcotics smuggler and that a packet with 17kgs of heroine, worth Rs 85 crore, was recovered from the body. Indian media quoting BSF officials said the patrolling party challenged the person to stop and surrender but he ignored their warning and continued his journey, upon which the patrolling party opened fire and killed him.
