Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Sunday held the banned Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan (SSP) responsible for the murder of former minorities’ affairs minister Shahbaz Bhatti. Addressing the Christian community at a local church, Malik said Bhatti’s assassins had been identified and that they belonged to the SSP. He said the killers fled to the Middle East after killing Bhatti. He said the government had issued “red warrants” to bring the culprits back to Pakistan. “Let me make it clear that Bhatti was killed by terrorists… there is no family feud behind his killing,” the interior minister said.
