Majority celebrates Eid by staying home

ISLAMABAD - The results of a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan have revealed that over 80% of Pakistani celebrate Eid holiday by staying at home, engaged in activities such as receiving guests (40%) and visiting (40%) friends and relatives. While 20% use the holidays for travel and outdoor entertainment and picnics. In a survey a nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces the respondents were asked “Many people like to do different activities during the Eid holidays. What you like to do on Eid holidays?” Responding to this 20% said they go out for picnic, 40% said that they prefer to visit friends; another 40% said that they prefer to stay at home.
