Federal secretary praises PAL’s contributions to Sufi literature

ISLAMABAD - The Ministry of National Heritage and Integration’s Secretary, Farid Ullah Khan said on Monday that the Pakistan Academy of Letters (PAL)’s publications on Pakistani Sufis were praise worthy and exemplary and must be promoted on a wider scale. The secretary visited the Pakistan Academy of Letters, where he met with PAL’s officers and visited its various departments, according to a press release issued here on Monday.
“PAL is the most significant national institution working for writers. I greatly appreciate the special issue of PAL’s quarterly literary magazine “Adbiyat”, said the secretary. He also commented that such a special issue should be included in the curriculum and expressed his intention to personally take interest in its promotion. According to the press release, the visiting Secretary assured that the Ministry of National Heritage and Integration, was interested in the completion of the Faiz Ahmed Faiz Auditorium’s construction so that writers may have a better venue at which to conduct literary activities.
