KARACHI - Sindh High Court (SHC) on Friday allowed Mohajir Qaumi Movement – Haqiqi (MQM-H) chief Afaq Ahmad to pursue his own cases.
According media reports, the chief justice has nominated the president and secretary of Sindh High Court Bar Association (SHCBA) for his assistance.
The court also ordered the prosecutor general to appear in the count on the next hearing.
SHC chief justice conducted hearing of the case against MQM-H chief Afaq Ahmad. During the hearing, Afaq Ahmad told the court that he was being threatened from different people, adding that one of his counsels had been gunned down. That is why no counsel was ready to provide him legal services, he said.
Hearing was deferred till November 15.
