Man accused of harassing women acquitted

ISLAMABAD - A lower court on Friday acquitted a man involved in cyber crime and disposed of the case registered against him for allegedly harassing women by hacking their email accounts. Additional District and Sessions Judge Yar Muhammad Gondal heard the case registered by the FIA against Usman Ullah Madni. According to the FIA, during interrogation the accused also confessed that he had hacked email accounts of many females. The accused, according to the prosecution, confessed to creating a fake profile on Facebook where he had uploaded obscene pictures of various females of several families. However, the defence counsel contended that his client wanted to compensate the aggrieved party through any kind of penalty with the consent of the party. The counsel for the complainant also said that his client was willing to patch up the matter if the accused admitted his mistake. On hearing arguments from both the parties, the Judge acquitted Usmanullah Madni.
