Rs 1,436 million allocated for Kurram development

Peshawar - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Barrister Masood Kausar on Thursday urged the authorities to strengthen the peace efforts in Kurram Agency and emphasised on improvement in the development process. He was presiding over a meeting regarding Kurram Agency at the Governor House. The meeting discussed the law and order situation in the agency, besides development work, including construction of roads, rehabilitation of war victims and implementation of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) reforms.
The governor was informed that security arrangements were being tightened to keep the Thall-Teri Mengal Road open. Masood stressed that the rehabilitation process for the war victims of Kurram Agency should be expedited and made transparent. The governor was informed that Rs 1,435.63 million had been allocated for development of Kurram Agency during the current fiscal year. The amount will be spent on 105 development schemes.
