LAHORE/FAISALABAD - Angry residents staged protests in various localities of Lahore and blocked Ring Road and Multan Road to protest against prolonged load-shedding.
Irked people pelted buses with stones, while chanting slogans against the government.
Police reached the spot shortly. In order to disrupt protesters police baton charged, used tear-gas shells and fired in the air. This provoked the protesters and a clash started between police and protesters. Protesters set police vehicles on fire.
Lahore, like many other cities of Punjab, has been in the grip of over 18-hour load-shedding, making life miserable for its residents. The city witnessed worst kind of unscheduled load-shedding on Saturday night and most localities of the provincial capital, including Muslim Town, Johar Town, Icchra, Muzang, Gulberg, Baghbanpura, Batapur, remained under darkness for virtually 24 hours.

  3. innocent people are suffering due to corrupt people, needs clean-up operation in every organisation, otherwise let us suffer all this.. Political leaders are the culprits who cant solve the problems & cant control the situation. Did anyone made an address to explain the situation,,,those in power have no problems, but in fact they all are damaging theirselves if the country is at loss. They just blame, which is fact, but now why cant they do to solve the problems, otherwise their presence is friutless…CIVIL MARTIAL LAW is the solution. Our eletion system is unable to stop the corrupt people. But corruption is to be stopped in every organisation…

  4. Jallad Bhai says:
