Haqqani network not in Pakistan: Dr Firdous

ISLAMABAD - Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan, refuting all allegations of the existence of Haqqani Network in Pakistan, said there is no Haqqani Network in the country.
Talking to journalists on Thursday, she said that Pakistan had become insecure to keep the world secure and added that anti-Pakistani actors were active against Pakistan.
“Pakistan has lost 36,000 lives in the ongoing war against terrorism”, the minister said adding that the international community should acknowledge the huge loss of lives and sacrifices of Pakistani nation.
She stressed that Pakistan was looking for a strong and stable Afghanistan as the stability of Afghanistan was in the best interest of the region which would bring peace.
Replying a question regarding recent floods in Sindh and Balochistan, she said it was the core responsibility of the whole nation to get united at this time of tribulation. “The government is doing its best to provide maximum facilities to the flood victims, we would not leave them alone”, she added.
Meanwhile, she dispatched two trucks loaded with relief goods for the flood affectees of Sindh from the PTV relief camp, Islamabad.

    PPP Government also said same about Osama Bin Laden. I am sure PPP Government has no clue what Pakistani army and particulary ISI is doing. To save their government, they do not control the Army. They have to wake up and put things in order, otherwise same will happen as Pervaiz Musharraf time .

      If IMF (<==USA) stops your aid, tum sab ghoom jaaoge! Economy to chalti hai nahin… bhikhariyon ki tarah doosron se $$ mangte ho…. aur phir akkad bhi dikhate ho? Pure bewkoof ho!

  7. Ager humy Usama ka pata nahe tha, to America ku 9,11 k wakye may mulawes jawanu ka pata nahe tha. And India ku Railway station, Taj hotel etc k pata nahe tha. Eik ungli dusro ki taraf and 4 apni taraf.
