Gilani directs PIA to airlift insecticide

Islamabad - Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani Tuesday directed the Pakistan International Airline (PIA) authorities to airlift insecticide from Mumbai in India meant for preventing dengue in Punjab. The insecticides were purchased by the Punjab Government.
PIA was reluctant to airlift the insecticide due to its rules which prohibit transporting material of this nature. The Prime Minister’s instructions amount to according a waiver in the face of dengue epidemic in Punjab.
