Land dispute claims 11 lives in Upper Dir

UPPER DIR - At least eleven people were killed during a gun battle between two groups in Upper Dir over land dispute, officials said on Sunday.
According to details, an old clash over ownership of property between two rival tribes of Bari Kot turned violent when both used weapons against each other, and as a result of firing eleven persons, including women died on the spot, while six others suffered injuries.
The injured were rushed to nearby hospitals where the condition of some wounded reported critical.
Police, who reached the scene soon after the incident took place, has started probing into the incident.
