Pakistan, Afghanistan and US to hold talks on August 2

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan, Afghanistan and the US will hold talks in Islamabad on Tuesday. According to media reports, President Obama’s Special Representative for Pakistan and Afghanistan Mark Grossman will participate in the talks, while Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar and Afghan deputy foreign minister will represent Pakistan and Afghanistan respectively.
Issues like the US forces’ pullout from Afghanistan and dialogue with the Taliban will be highlighted in the meeting, while the militants’ attacks in Pakistan will also be discussed. Mark Grossman will meet Pakistan’s political and military leadership including the prime minister and chief of army staff.
