Dacoity in daylight

On Friday 24th, my two colleagues and I were travelling to Karachi University in 4-M bus that goes to Maskan (University of Karachi) passing through Burns Road, Saddar and Hassan Squares. Near Income Tax Building, around 5 o’clock, three dacoits got on the bus and looted not only men but women too at gunpoint. One of the dacoits had a long beard whereas the other two were clean shaven and all three were without any mask. The incident took place in the broad daylight and no body could do anything while they fled away freely and calmly.

After the incident, I and other victims of the incident have concluded that the government should allow everybody to keep revolvers with them so that everybody can protect themselves. The law enforcement agencies have failed to cope with these kinds of crimes. On the other hand, people believe that police is involved in these crimes and receives its share from criminals. I appeal to the government to take a stern action against these public crimes. The public justice or mob justice won’t do well in this situation.
