Dacoits in police uniform abduct trader, rob home

LAHORE - Eight dacoits, wearing police uniform abducted a trader and left his family injured on resistance in Chungi Amar Sadhu police jurisdiction on Friday. Eight dacoits stormed into the house of Qasim Ali (22), a cloth trader and resident of Javed Colony. Police said the accused abducted the trader and asked him to handover his money.
When Javed's family showed resistance, the accused men manhandled the family and left the house after looting money and jewellery. Killed: Nazir Ahmed, 40, a contractor was allegedly killed on monetary issues by two men on motorcycles near Multan Road on Friday. The incident fell in the limits of Chung police.
The deceased, son of Akbar Ali, was a Shah Pur Kanjaran resident. The victim received serious bullets injuries and died on the spot. Police reached the spot and shifted the body to city morgue. Police registered a case against unidentified persons. Body found: The body of an unidentified 25 year old male was found on Band Road on Friday.
The incident fell in the Sandha police limits. Local police said the victim had received four bullet wounds on his body which implied a target killing. Police suspected enmity. The body was shifted to the city morgue. The identity of the victim is yet to be verified. No case was registered till this report was filed.
SUICIDE: Zaheer, 22. a resident of Kasur committed suicide at his home by drinking chemical over unemployment on Friday. He was shifted to Mayo Hospital where he expired. Police handed over the body to his heirs after completing legal formalities.
