LAHORE: Flawed policies of the federal government are shattering the confidence of the masses and the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) has failed to show a commitment in resolving the problems of the nation, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Pervaiz Malik said on Monday in a press release.
He said that the federal government was playing havoc with the country and was busy in hurting the business community and the common man. Pervaiz said that the worsening security situation and deepening financial crisis were causing panic amongst the people.
The PML-N MNA said that the country's economy had deteriorated ever since the federal government assumed power. Terming the present regime responsible for the deteriorating law and order situation, Pervez said that suicide bombings and target killings had increased shaking the confidence of the people and investors.
He said that target killings in Karachi had devastated the economic activities throughout the country but the federal government seemed careless and was pursuing its own interests.
The PML-N MNA said that the country's problems were not limited to suicide bombings and a poor economy but rising inflation, shortage of electricity and natural gas had not only harmed the common man but also hampered industrial activities.
He said that industrialists were staging protests and blocking roads against discrimination with Punjab in gas supply and massive gas load shedding but those who were sitting at the helm of affairs, were not ready to take any action.
Pervaiz said that during PML-N's government, international investors were keen to invest in Pakistan and had planned joint ventures with their Pakistani counterparts in the fields of energy, banking, telecom and others. He said that investment worth billions of dollars was planned but former president General (r) Pervez Musharraf occupied power and put the whole country in darkness.
